2010 SUMMER CAMPS: Applications Now Available

Applications are now available for Emily K Center 2010 Summer Camps.  Both camps run full-day, are open to boys and girls ages 8-14, and are held at the Emily K Center in Durham, NC.

 

The Chris Duhon Basketball Camp:

The Duhon Basketball Camp runs for the week of July 26-30, 2010.  The camp is led by experienced basketball players and coaches including former Duke star and current New York Knicks’ player Chris Duhon.  Campers will participate in skills stations, competitions and league games.  Daily guest speakers including current college players will answer camper’s questions and sign autographs.  This camp runs daily from 9am -5pm and includes lunch.  Camp fee is $225.  Application available here. 

 

The Justice Theater Project Drama Camp:

The JTP Drama Camp runs for two week from August 2-14, 2010.  Students will work with professional theater instructors from the Justice Theater Project studying acting, improvisation, dance, and the disciplines of design and production (costume, makeup, props and lights).    This year’s camp will culminate in a fully mounted production of a “Midsummer Nights’ Dream, Jr”.  Final performances are scheduled for August 13 and 14.  All performances are open to the family and friends of the campers and the community.  This camp runs daily from 9am – 4pm (early morning and afternoon childcare available from 8am-9am and 4pm-5pm at no additional charge).  Camp fee is $390.   Application available here.
